Transition Project Manager urgently required for our East Midland based client on a 6 month initial contract + extensions.
This position is an assurance role overseeing projects as part of the transition. Assurance will be your main focus looking at the new supplier’s delivery. You’ll need to have knowledge of Testing Management Processes, including the production of Test Strategy, Plan, Scripts and Defect Recording / Resolution with a good understanding of Project / Programme Management, preferably with a recognised qualification i.e. PRINCE 2, PMP. It is essential you have a comprehensive knowledge of Principles of Hosting and Network Solutions, with the ability to critique deliverables and offer constructive commentary. You must also have understanding of Desktop environments and the principles for migrating from environment to another i.e. Windows 7 to Windows 10.
The ideal candidate will have excellent Stakeholder Management and Communication Skills (written and verbal) with knowledge of applications development processes including requirements, design, development, test and deployment. You will need a solid understanding of process mapping and fulfilment with general Knowledge of applications and implementing applications and infrastructure support models. As this is an assurance role, you to be able to work collaborative with a number of parties to ensure the best possible / most pragmatic solution to move the Programme forward, however, there needs to be the ability to challenge / disagree with an approach put forward by incumbent / incoming parties (whilst acknowledging that the solution is owned by the 3rd Parties). Experience of working with large scale IT outsource or professional services organisations, and good understanding of IT / Cyber Security is also essential.
